Silver-service celebration

A celebratory afternoon tea event, complete with cake, at Colchester’s Wivenhoe House Hotel marked the silver anniversary of the Financial Services team at Essex law firm Birkett Long.

For a quarter of a century the department has been giving independent financial advice, helping clients achieve their financial goals and objectives. The team celebrated their anniversary with clients and colleagues alike at the hotel in Wivenhoe.

Nicola Ward, Associate and Head of Financial Services at the firm, said: “We thought 25 years was worth celebrating. Our longevity has seen excellent client relationships develop, including looking after generations of families.

“Clients have always appreciated the value of having access to financial services through a large, trusted and well-established legal firm and our longevity provides our clients with much-needed security and peace of mind.

“I can hardly believe it was 25 years ago that I joined the firm and although our means of communication has changed - there were no computers, electronic diaries and certainly no mobile phones then - the value of service to the client is the same. They know that the advice we give is truly independent.”

The team offers independent advice on many aspects of financial planning, including investments, inheritance tax planning, retirement planning and business protection/key-person assurance.
