Essex firm sponsors the next generation of footballers

Stanway Rovers Girls Infernos team at well-established Stanway Rovers Youth Football Club is celebrating following a sponsorship boost from Birkett Long Independent Financial Advisers (IFA).

Stanway Rovers Youth Football Club is a development-based, community club that offers football for all ages in a fun and inclusive atmosphere. Thanks to Birkett Long IFA, the club has new match kits and waterproof jackets.

Ross Turver, Vice Chairman for girl’s football said: “Stanway Rovers Girls Football started in 2017 and has grown considerably to over 80 girls from age 5-14 with over ten coaches. As friendships have formed, so have teams, and we now compete in the Essex County Girls Football League in 3 different age groups with 5 different teams. Our newest U9 team, Stanway Rovers Girls Infernos, have just started their first matches. 

“As a part of the league it is crucial that the girls have the backing of a sponsor. In doing so, the girls gain a sense of achievement in wearing a league kit and feel confident to step out onto the pitch, no matter the weather. By having a sponsor such as Birkett Long IFA, they also gain a sense of pride knowing they are being supported by such a well-known and respected firm.
